Check & Connect: Reflect, Refresh, Renew Workshop

Check & Connect: Reflect, Refresh, Renew is a workshop designed for sites already implementing Check & Connect or components of Check & Connect.  Mentors and other stakeholders join a Check & Connect trainer for an intensive 1-day reflection and professional development session designed to identify and celebrate what is working well, address priority skill development areas, and renew commitment to Persistence Plus, a key element of Check & Connect.

Limited to 30 participants.

Who Should Attend

Check & Connect coordinator(s), mentors, and other student support staff working with Check & Connect.

• Reflect on and celebrate the successes of your program and students
• Assess your site’s progress with implementing Check & Connect with fidelity
• Refresh or build vital skills in identified areas of need (for example: use of cognitive-behavioral strategies, engaging families)
• Collectively and individually, renew your dedication and energy for sustaining Check & Connect to benefit your students

• Pre-workshop consultation with Check & Connect site coordinator/school administrators
• 1-day intensive workshop offered on site
• Print and electronic resource materials for each participant
