Attend a technology mini-session to learn more about Engage SEI!
The Student Engagement Instrument (SEI) is a brief 35 item self-reporting survey measuring cognitive and affective engagement. Data allows school professionals to gain insights into a student’s sense of control, intrinsic motivation, and future aspirations (cognitive engagement factors). Support teams working with students will also have a better understanding of a student’s relationships with teachers, peers, and family support (affective engagement factors).
COMING SOON: The new Engage SEI adapts the Student Engagement Instrument to an online platform, allowing schools to easily and efficiently gather information on internal factors of student engagement. This 1-hour overview is ideally suited for those interested in learning more about Engage SEI and how data on internal factors of student engagement will help to identify and develop interventions for students who are at risk of disengagement.
"The training really helped the participants to solidify and understand the importance of determining specific criteria for student selection when implementing the model. The technical assistance was very beneficial and provided an opportunity to discuss actual cases and to receive feedback regarding model fidelity."
